Beschreibung

Ghana

Located in West Africa, with it's southern coast on the Gulf of Guinea, is Ghana. With only a few pockets of tropical rain forest left, most of the landscape is characterized by rather dry grassy plains and savanna. Main feature is the artificial Lake Volta in the east of the country. Highest mountain is Mount Afadjato (880 m)

There are hiking possibilities along Lake Volta, in the Shai Hills near the Wli falls, up Mount Afadjato, along the canopy walkway through the rain forest in Kakum National Park, in Bia National Park and in several other nature reserves.
